Sisu Healthcare IT Solutions Wins When Work Works Award, Attracts Talent Through Flexible Workplace

Sisu Healthcare IT Solutions has won a 2016 When Work Works Award from the Families and Work Institute (FWI) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Sisu, which offers IT services for healthcare facilities with a focus on community and rural healthcare organizations, is one of 17 companies in Minnesota to receive this honor.

Sisu offers its employees several options to tailor their work environments, including flexible hours, scheduled telecommuting, compressed work weeks and a leave policy that allows employees to attend family functions at their discretion. Additionally, managers are specifically trained on strategies for effectively supervising remote employees.

Between 2010 and 2020, the Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that jobs in the health care sector are projected to grow by 30%, more than twice as fast as the general economy. An additional study from Industrial Relations: A Journal of Economy and Society reported a 400% increase in health IT job listings as a percentage of all healthcare job postings.
